A&E Open House Performance
November 19th, 2025
What is it?
Bryan City Schools is moving forward with renovating the Arts & Education Building,
scheduled to begin early in 2026. They have decided to give the community the opportunity to have a final walk through of the building before starting this process by demoing the classroom end (south side) of the building. During the open house they are creating plans to have a final basketball game in the gym and performances on the stage. We have been invited to participate and perform on the stage, one more time, prior to the renovations!
When is it?
Details are still coming together, but the date of the performance will be Wednesday, November 19th, likely sometime between 6:30-8:30pm. I have requested an earlier time slot, so our younger dancers can participate without it getting them to bed late on a school night. More details will be shared as things are finalized.
Who can participate?
We are inviting any of our dancers that are interested in participating to participate in this special performance! Dancers that sign up are required to attend all of the rehearsals* and be at the performance. There is a $22 participation fee. This should be paid at the studio by Oct. 11th, and will cover the cost of a t-shirt and hair accessory (for the girls) that will be worn for the performance.
*If your dancer is available for the performance and all but ONE rehearsal, you are still able to sign up. That information will need to be provided to us when you sign up. If they are going to miss more than one rehearsal, unfortunately they will not be allowed to participate.
When are the rehearsals?
- November 1st 9:30am-1:00pm*
*this rehearsal will be split up into groups (30 min rehearsals), your dancer will not need to be present the entire time. They will be assigned their specific rehearsal time once we know who will be participating and can break them into groups.
- November 8th 10:30-12:00pm (all dancers, the whole time- they will have some down time as we work through ons and offs and spacing with each group)
- November 15th 10:30-11:30am (all dancers, the whole time)
ALL DANCERS will be provided with videos of their section(s) after the first rehearsal and are required to practice at home!! We are learning this in a short time span and need to make sure everyone is prepared to give a quality performance.
What will the dancers wear?
For rehearsals: dancers need to wear dance attire and dance shoes (based on the style
of dance they will be performing)
For the performance: special t-shirt that will be provided and each age group will be a different color; black leggings (girls), black athletic pants/sweat pants (boys); long hair pulled back in a ponytail with provided hair accessory for the girls; stage make up; dance shoes (based on the style of dance they will be performing)
How do I sign my dancer up to participate?
Fill out this PARTICIPATION FORM by OCTOBER 4th.
